Waiting for spring and the arrival of Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3we learn that the game developed by City Interactive will not display 4K when it launches on PS4 Pro. It will certainly benefit from other effects managed by the console if you have a suitable screen (HDR in particular), but regarding 4K, the studio has been clear, without closing the door:
“At launch of Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3, we have no plans to make it compatible with 4K TVs on PS4 Pro. Developing the game on different platforms makes the process complex because you have to ensure that the game runs correctly on each machine. That said, current consoles are easier to learn despite the differences since they share a lot of things, and with good planning we can overcome this challenge.
In other words, if Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 will not support 4K when it is released, it could well support this display in the coming months after a patch which goes well. As a reminder, the game is expected on April 4 on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
