It is not yet known whether the various schemes put in place by the resellers have any effect on the scalpers, but in any case, the manufacturers also want to succeed in selling their consoles to real people. So much so that Sony has decided to start direct sale to prevent PS5 stocks from ending up in very bad hands.
The Japanese firm has just launched a new website which allows players to order the console directly. Unfortunately for us, poor Europeans, this system is not currently only available in the USAor at least for those who have an address located in North America.
If you saw my last retweet, Sony is now letting you register to get direct invitations to buy a PS5! Simply follow the directions on their official website here: https://t.co/M5YrC3RzDU pic.twitter.com/9U6H17Zpxf

Even for Americans, the solution is not perfect: stocks are just as limited for the moment on this site, since signing up only puts you on a waiting list almost as long as New World’s Australian servers. To register, all you need is a PSN account, and each account can request the PS5 once. Scalpers can always try, but they will waste time and money in the manipulation (so little, compared to the profit, we agree). Sony will also have greater traceability on orders and can directly cut an account at sourceblocking a malicious user on all its services.
The operation is interesting all the same, since the manufacturer will keep a small stock of consoles for sale each month which will be allocated to customers of this new site. The choice will not be made randomly, but on the basis of “interests and PlayStation activities”. Shipments will begin next November. Each account will be entitled to a maximum of a console, 2 colored controllers, 3 white controllers, a Media Remote and a Pulse 3D headset.
