Police descended on a Queens home that was set on fire Sunday morning after a stabbing attack that left four people dead, two officers injured and a 13-year-old boy in critical condition.

A suspect was fatally shot in the lower extremity during cops’ response to the apparent domestic dispute – which occurred at 467 Beach 22nd St in Far Rockaway just after 5 a.m.

The suspect is now dead, while three victims were pronounced dead at the scene when cops responded. A fourth person stabbed died a short time later, while three others were transported to a local hospital.

Several people, including the unnamed teenager, are said to be in critical condition.

Dozens of police officers remained on scene into the morning, along with firefighters who responded to a fire at the residence first reported around 5:17 a.m. Within minutes, the fire was extinguished and officers were seen evacuating several victims. The incident, which appears to be a domestic dispute, remains under investigation.

“I heard pop pop pop,” a neighbor told amNewYork of the early morning incident, as preliminary reports indicate police shot the suspect outside the home before discover other victims inside the residence.

“It woke me up from my sleep, then I heard the sirens. It’s scary,” the witness added.

Radio chatter indicated the same thing was happening, as firefighters were heard telling dispatchers they had removed at least one person with minor injuries from the scene.

The four victims, meanwhile, were all stabbed to death, three of them having died before the police even arrived. The fourth, believed to be a 12-year-old girl, died after being taken to hospital, sources told the Daily News.

Those same sources said the suspect is now dead, after officers caught him leaving the house after receiving reports that a man was brandishing a knife.

During this confrontation, the armed man allegedly threw himself at the police officers, injuring two of them before being shot.

Officials added that he started the fire while fleeing and that the home’s sprinkler system was able to contain the fire.

The two injured officers were then transported to Jamaica Hospital while the suspect was also hospitalized, with the officers suffering non-life-threatening injuries.

Police are now asking the public to stay away from the area as they continue to investigate the incident, which sparked a significant police response and resulted in the closure of parts of the Van Wyck.

Sources close to the case told outlets including The News, amNewYork and ABC 7 that cops initially received information that the person was brandishing the knife during a domestic dispute, but provided no additional details .

Several reported hearing gunshots during the police response, during which officers shot the suspect before discovering other victims with multiple, unspecified injuries.

The incident, at 9 a.m., remains under investigation by the New York Police Department. DailyMail.com has contacted the department for comment.
