The FSB announced on September 4 the arrest, in the Kherson region, of a man in his fifties suspected of manufacturing explosive devices for the account of Ukrainian saboteurs.
The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) announced on September 4 the arrest in Kherson of a Ukrainian citizen “born in 1968” who “had assembled improvised explosive devices for a sabotage and terrorist group operating in Zaporozhye”.
“It was established that the detainee handed over to the direct perpetrators several explosive devices that were used to commit terrorist acts against the police and the regional administration,” the FSB said. At the individual’s home, “the following objects were discovered and seized: 5 kg of explosives, 17 industrially manufactured electric detonators, three timed detonators and other IED components”, details the press release.
Since the beginning of the Russian offensive in Ukraine, the FSB regularly announces the arrest of supporters of Ukrainian forces accused of engaging in acts of sabotage or transmitting information on sensitive Russian infrastructure.
