The HONOR Magic V2 is on its way to becoming the most affordable foldable on the market. Its global launch in the first quarter of 2024.
Last week at IFA 2023, HONOR unveiled the Magic V2. Which bills itself as the world’s thinnest book-style foldable smartphone. The company plans to launch this device in global markets in the first quarter of 2024. In addition, indications of its price have recently leaked.
Potential price of the HONOR Magic V2 compared to its competitors
In an interview with GSMArena, George Zhao, CEO of HONOR, said that the price of Magic Vs, launched in March 2023 at 1599 euros, will serve as a “good benchmark” for the global price of Magic V2. If this information is confirmed, the Magic V2 would be around 300 euros cheaper than the Google Pixel Fold and the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5. Even with a price increase of 100 euros, HONOR’s foldable smartphone would remain significantly more affordable than its main rivals.
The Magic V2 admittedly does not include some features such as wireless charging, ultra-thin glass, and water resistance. However, it offers several notable benefits like a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. Additionally, it will have a 5,000mAh battery with 66W wired charging, stylus support, a significantly less creased screen, and a versatile rear camera system.
