The Last of Us Part 2 is coming to PS5

A PS5 version of The Last of Us Part 2 appears to be on the way, according to a reliable dataminer.

There have been rumors before, but now it seems all but confirmed: The Last of Us Part 2 will be coming to PlayStation 5. The latest proof was provided by a reliable PlayStation dataminer called @PlayStationSize on Twitter/X.

The account published an article confirming the latest rumors regarding a remaster of The Last of Us Part 2. In this article you can see the keyart of the game and the caption reads “PS5” next to a red alert and a green check mark. They revealed in the comments that it is a native version, therefore specially designed for the PS5, and that there is no date yet.

In case you don’t know: PlayStationSize is a dataminer specializing in all things PlayStation, as the name suggests. In the past, they have successfully extracted information and details about upcoming games through access to Sony databases. It is therefore safe to assume that this statement is correct.

Furthermore, Insider Gaming specifies that its sources have confirmed the existence of a PS5 version of The Last of Us 2.

It is not yet known when this version will be revealed. Given that The Game Awards will take place on December 7, it’s a safe bet to assume that an announcement as exciting as a PS5 version of TLOU2 would be on a show like that.
