While summer is in full swing, the municipal police officers of Saint-Raphaël (Var) are particularly mobilized. They are even on the water to maintain order at sea.
The municipal police officers of Saint-Raphaël (Var) are on the alert during this summer period. Launched at full speed on their boat, they monitor 35 kilometers of coastline, in sometimes rough seas. Most often, they intercept speeding boats. Fines can go up to 3,750 euros. Since the beginning of the summer, numerous infractions have been noted. Four people were even summoned by the authorities for exceeding the authorized speed. Officers remain alert to all dangers. A jet ski, for example, navigates in a prohibited area.
Surveillance of the sea until the end of September
In July, the population of Saint-Raphaël is multiplied by three. The agents try to make cohabit, as they can, the bathers with the boats or the kayaks. Most don’t really know the rules. The municipal police will continue to do prevention at sea until the end of September.
