The Witcher 3 preview was in 1080p on PS4 and 900p on Xbox One

These are our German colleagues from SamaGame who today submit to us their comparison on the PC, Xbox One and PS4 versions of the game The Witcher 3. Indeed, they were able to attend the preview which was held recently and here are some of their conclusions on the different presentations

In the console duel, the Playstation 4 already has a head start in terms of graphics. However, the textures appear slightly less smooth than on a state-of-the-art PC due to a slight perceptible loss, linked to the “distance” from the television. In addition, the PS4 version ran at 1080p, but at only 30fps, without this being really disturbing.

The Xbox One version also offered us 30fps, but this time in 900p making the textures slightly more washed out than on PS4. According to CD Projekt, switching to 1080p could compromise the game, and the standard, concerning console versions, currently remains the PS4 which provides a sharper and more colorful image.

Before the resolution wars resurface, we must point out that the game is still in development and being optimized, so the technical specifications of each media may be subject to change, as was the case for destiny And Diablo 3: Ultimate Evil Edition.
