Our editorial team invites you to discover The Caligula Effect 2 on Playstation 5. Under this strange title lies a very nice JRPG that we already tested 2 years ago on PS4 & Nintendo Switch. This is therefore a port for its PS5 version, the timid improvements of which we reveal to you in the video.
Please note that this game tells the story of the “Go Home Club”: a group of resistance fighters who try to fight against Regret, a virtual doll who has locked living beings in a world that is also virtual. Through a tactical combat system relying heavily on the anticipation of opposing actions, you will have to repel the Obbligato Musicians, minions of the Regret doll. In short, it’s quite a program, which we invite you to admire in the video below.

- An unusual artistic direction,
- The anticipatory combat system,
- The game’s framerate does not experience any instability!
- JPOP music energizes the game,
- Many nice fights,
- A fairly rich scenario,
- The long lifespan of the game.
- Successful Japanese dubbing,
- A surprising work as a whole, but gripping.
*Weak points
- The humor sometimes fails,
- Long identical corridors during your explorations (and therefore excessive repetition of graphics chipsets)
- Some music comes back over and over again.
- No French subtitles.
