Lizardcube, currently in charge of the Wonder Boy remake, announces through a simple Tweet that the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Switch versions have now gone Gold. For those who don’t know, this status means that the development of the game is completely finished and that it will not be delayed on schedule.

As mentioned above, Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap is a remake of the series originally developed by Escape on older SEGA systems. This remake will allow us to play Wonder Boy in a standard and 8-bit mode for lovers of the retro aspect. The hero will no longer be the only one in the adventure, because we have known for several days now that we will have the chance to play Wonder Girl.
As mentioned above, Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap will be available for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on April 18, 2017.
