The manufacturer Elephone recently announced the launch of its new flagship, the Elephone S7, a terminal that promises not only excellent performance at a low price, but also unusual aesthetics (and that certainly looks a lot like the Samsung’s top-of-the-range terminals). Although the device won’t go on sale until November 23, you can already reserve yours if you want.
Let’s start by talking about the hardware. The Elephone S7 integrates an old acquaintance, the MediaTek Helio X20 ten-core processor in three blocks that works at 2 Ghz and is accompanied by a Mali T880 GPU. There will be two models of the Elephone S7, one with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage and another with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage (in the end we will give you the prices of both). In both cases, the installation of a micro SD memory card of up to 128 GB is supported to increase the internal capacity.
It is worth noting its screen, with an IPS matrix and a size of 5.5 inches that provides a Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels), its two cameras (13 Mpx rear with LED flash and 5 Mpx front), and its large 3,000 mAh battery that ensures us a full day of autonomy even if we give the device a lot, a lot of cane.
To finish with the hardware, we must talk about its connectivity. The terminal supports the installation of two simultaneous nano SIM cards, although doing this would nullify the possibility of installing a micro SD memory card since the tray is multipurpose. In any case, if we have two SIMs installed, one will always be on stand-by (only to receive calls), being able to switch between one line and the other from the options easily. For the rest we find the usual: Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, GPS, 2G, 3G and 4G LTE connectivity, etc, as well as a light sensor, proximity, compass, etc.
What most attracts the attention of this device is undoubtedly its aesthetics, very similar as we said to Samsung’s high-end terminals (and its name should already give us an idea). It has dimensions of 15.04 x 7.32 x 0.76 centimeters and weighs 148 grams, so it is quite light considering its size, and quite thin considering its features and battery.
If you want to get one of these Elephone S7 you can make your reservation now, because in Chinese stores like GearBest they already have it available for 179.85 euros with shipping costs including the version with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage, and for 206.83 euros the version with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. As we said at the beginning, the launch is on November 23, and it will be that day when shipments begin. It is by the way available in gold, blue, black and green.
