OnePlus 6 is not inferior to Samsung Galaxy S9 in benchmark.
The summer is not far away and that means that we can welcome the new OnePlus 6 in about three months. In recent weeks, the necessary information about the upcoming flagship has already appeared and this time the OnePlus 6 seems to have been spotted in the database of benchmark app Geekbench.
The device in question listens to the model number NS P7819 and that is the OnePlus 6 prototype that we also saw appear earlier this year. Under the hood we find, as expected, the Snapdragon 845-soc from Qualcomm in combination with 6GB of RAM. It is expected that a more expensive variant will also appear with 8GB of RAM.
OnePlus 6 performs very well
In the single-score test, the OnePlus 6 managed to achieve a score of 2535 and a multi-core score of 8362. These scores are in line with other high-end Android smartphones powered by the Snapdragon 845-soc , such as the Galaxy S9 and S9 + from Samsung, which are currently on offer for 700 and 780 euros respectively.
The benchmark does not show any further specifications, however, thanks to a recent leak and the new Oppo smartphones, we have a good idea of what OnePlus will announce in the summer. Oppo and OnePlus are sister companies and usually share different components and design.
Bigger screen, new design
We therefore expect the OnePlus 6 to have a 6.28-inch OLED screen, a resolution of 2280 x 1080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19: 9. The screen is the same width as a 5.5-inch screen with an aspect ratio of 16: 9. Thanks to the slimmer bezels and notch, the case size is comparable to the OnePlus 5T, which has a 6-inch screen without a notch.
At the rear is said to be a dual camera, consisting of a 12 and 20 megapixel sensor. The case has an aluminum frame with a glass back, which suggests that the OnePlus 6 will also support wireless charging. The fingerprint scanner is placed under the camera module and not integrated into the screen.

On the Chinese website CNMO, an image was published that shows that the OnePlus 6 has a price tag of $ 749 for the variant with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. We suspect that this will be the most expensive variant and that is a significant difference compared to the OnePlus 5T. In the United States, the most expensive variant of the 5T was for sale for 559 dollars, which is an increase of almost 200 dollars. Moreover, the European prices do not differ from those of the American ones, which would mean that the OnePlus 6 in the Netherlands will cost 749 euros.
In the firmware of OxygenOS, the Android edition of OnePlus, a new smartphone with the code name Enchilada was recently spotted. We expect this to be a reference to the OnePlus 6 as one of the codenamed images showed a notch. The OnePlus 6 will likely be announced in June, just like its predecessors. The phone’s release date has not yet been confirmed, but sales typically start soon after the reveal.
