The new OnePlus 8 Series has received the highest overall display rating and Best Smartphone Display Award from DisplayMate, the leader in evaluating smartphone displays. The advanced screen of the new OnePlus smartphone series received the highest rating to date: A+. The screen offers a completely new and hassle-free visual experience and sets a new standard for the smartphone industry.
OnePlus is one of the first in the smartphone industry to use AMODLED displays with a high refresh rate. These displays are the successors to the 90 Hz Fluid Display that the brand used for its previous generation of devices. The custom-designed AMOLED display features industry-leading specifications that take the viewing experience to the next level.
According to DisplayMate’s analysis, OnePlus 8 Series displays meet or set new standards for more than ten Smartphone Display Performance Records in virtually all major categories for the best displays on the market, including color accuracy, image contrast, display brightness and image reflectance . It concerns four categories that have been designated as Visually Indistinguishable from Perfect.

Earlier this year, OnePlus announced plans to introduce a 120 Hz Fluid Display equipped with several new cutting-edge technologies. These technologies include motion estimate and motion compensation (MEMC) – for a much smoother video playback experience – and 10-bit color depth for better color reproduction.
