In this patch, the Siege of Ascension Peak event will end, the VIP Shop and the Founder’s Pack will disappear. However, we will be able to buy new DLC sets, and we will also receive a new system – Battle Pass. Another community skin will also be released – Huntsman Androxus.

After millions of matches, Khan’s assault on Ascension Peak is coming to an end. So if you wanted to unlock Jenos’ Soul Eater skin, I hope you’re reading this before this update hit the servers!

In this update we are releasing the first of three Battle Passes for 2018. The Battle Pass is packed with tons of skins and new content (like animated sprays!) for everyone – the more you play, the more you earn.

There have been a lot of balance changes over the past few patches, so we’re beefing them up a bit this time around to balance out this update as we watch the meta evolve. The last hero to enter the Realm, Khan, will receive some buffs to help him defend himself better in the heat of battle.

Siege of Ascension Peak

The Ascension Peak Siege event will end in OB70.

  • Continuing the work with OB69, sprays are now a “global” equipment that can be accessed from your profile page.

  • As stated in the OB69 patch notes, VIP will be replaced with the Battle Pass in OB70.

Works

With the launch of the Battle Pass, we will be making some changes to our existing quest system.

  • Hero quests have been removed
    • The Gold Chest reward will now be available as a free Battle Pass reward. The free reward path in the Battle Pass also includes a Diamond Chest.
  • Daily Quests now reward Battle Pass Experience instead of VIP Points.
  • Removed daily quest bonus from daily login.
    • Quest rewards will now scale based on Battle Pass level.

We’re introducing a new chest – the E-sports Chest! Fans of Paladins esports will be able to earn it by watching various streams such as the Paladins Premier League, Paladins Global Series, and Paladins Console Series.
