Panasonic Introduces 3 New LUMIX FS Series Digital Cameras.
Panasonic adds three novelties to its family of LUMIX FS digital cameras, the DMC-FS6, DMC-FS7 and DMC-FS15, with 8.1, 10.1 and 12.1 megapixels respectively, 4x optical zoom for the first two and 5x for the last one.
Panasonic LUMIX FS DMC-FS6 and DMC-FS7:
The 10.1-megapixel Lumix DMC-FS7 and 8.1-megapixel DMC-FS6 with Leica DC lens and 4×1 optical zoom come in a slim, elegant design, as well as iA mode for easy shooting of excellent images.
Both models incorporate iA (Intelligent Auto) mode that consists of four main functions: Mega OIS, Intelligent ISO Control, Intelligent Scene Selector and Face Detection.
The Optical Image Stabilizer (Mega OIS) suppresses movements caused by a shaky hand and has modes 1 and 2, also incorporating AUTO mode to select the most appropriate mode depending on the zoom ratio used.
Intelligent ISO Control prevents blurry images, while Intelligent Scene Selector automatically selects the most suitable mode from several options: Portrait, Landscape, Macro, Night Landscape and Night Portrait. Additionally, both cameras have improved Face Detection functionality allowing AF/AE to be adjusted when a face moves or even disappears from the focus area.
The iA button placed on the top of both cameras makes it easy to select this function automatically and offers multiple modes that adjust according to the specific conditions at the time of shooting. Likewise, the FS7 and FS6 incorporate the Venus Engine IV processor with a very fast response time ensuring high quality images.
The FS7 model incorporates a 2.7-inch LCD screen, while the FS6’s LCD screen is 2.5 inches. Both with a high resolution of 230,000 dots and the intelligent LCD function that detects light conditions and adjusts automatically.
For all these reasons, the FS7, available in blue, green, black and pink, and the FS6, in blue, black, pink, red and silver, become the most versatile and innovative automatic cameras to easily capture clear images. , clear and without errors.
Panasonic LUMIX FS DMC-FS15:
The new Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS15 with a compact and elegant body has 12.1 megapixels, a 29mm Leica DC Wide Angle lens and 5×1 optical zoom.
The new Panasonic Lumix, available in black and blue, is integrated into the FS series with easy operation for all types of users, regardless of their level of knowledge. The iA (Intelligent Auto Advanced) mode makes it easier to capture photos by automatically detecting and adjusting the most optimal modes to achieve the highest quality images.
The new DMC-FS15 has the new AF Tracking function (or Object Tracking), which allows the user to “center and lock” the focus on a moving subject. The camera automatically tracks the subject as it moves, always keeping it in focus without the user having to press the shutter button halfway.
In addition, the FS15 also incorporates the Intelligent Exposure function that continuously monitors the light source and automatically activates the backlight compensation function when it detects that the lighting is behind the subject. The accuracy of the Face Detection function has also been improved, allowing AF/AE to be adjusted when a face moves or even disappears from view. The new Lumix also allows you to digitally correct unwanted red-eye caused by the use of flash.
This very compact Lumix features a 2.5-inch LCD with a high resolution of 230,000 dots and the Smart LCD function detects light conditions and automatically increases the LCD backlight by 40% (maximum) when shooting in outdoors on a sunny day and adjusts the frame rate when shooting in low-light situations.
In addition to the advanced features described above, iA mode inherits features such as MEGA OIS, which prevents blurring of images due to shaky handshake, and Intelligent ISO Control, which by adjusting the ISO sensitivity, prevents blurred images if the subject is moving. The MEGA OIS function has modes 1 and 2, and now it also incorporates the AUTO mode to select the most appropriate mode according to the zoom ratio used.
The advanced Leica DC VARIO-ELMAR Wide Angle Lens offers exceptional optical performance despite the FS15’s extraordinarily slim and compact design.
Also, this new Lumix incorporates the Venus Engine IV processor with a very fast response time. The Venus Engine IV also supports a High Sensitivity mode that allows the DMC-FS15 to shoot at up to a setting of ISO 6400, sensitive enough to capture subjects in near-darkness without using a flash2.
