Pavilion Mobile Game Review for iPhone and iPad

Pavilion: Touch Edition from Visiontrick Media is a rather unusual indie project in which gamers have to control not so much the character as the world around them. This atmospheric and gothic fourth person puzzle game will immerse users in a mysterious and dreamlike reality where there are no instructions or manuals.

The story of Pavilion takes place in a world unknown to the player or the protagonist. Players will take control of a mysterious protagonist who must be guided through the levels by manipulating the environment, objects, sounds, and lights. The movement of the character is controlled by pressing some moving bells: the character will react to the sound and head in the right direction.

Pavilion has some similarities to Monument Valley and other games of its kind, but unlike them there are a large number of different nuances and the levels are much larger. There are practically no hints in the game, and users have to guess for themselves what to do.

The game is only partly structured as a puzzle game. Indeed, players will solve the puzzles by wandering between surreal locations, but above all they will have to figure out what happens in this strange world in the first place.

Pavilion features stunning hand-drawn graphics. A mesmerizing soundscape featuring space music pioneer Tony Gerber perfectly complements the game’s magical atmosphere.
