How to add a payment method in the App Store?
In order to pay or buy in the App Store we need a payment method. There are different ways of doing it, and it is not always essential to have a credit card. These are the payment methods that Apple offers:
- Apple Pay, if available.
- Most debit and credit cards.
- PayPal in selected countries.
- Store credit earned by redeeming gift cards or adding funds to your Apple ID.
- Additional methods specific to each country or region, such as through your operator’s invoice.
To add a payment method in the App Store, we must follow a series of fairly simple steps:
- Enter the App Store from your iPhone or iPad.
- On the top right you will see a small circle with your photo.
- Enters click on your profile, you must identify yourself with Face ID or Touch ID.
- Tap on Manage payments and in Add payment method.
How to pay with PayPal in the Apple Store?
PayPal is one of the payment methods that Apple accepts in the App Store. But that does not mean that we can add PayPal to Apple Pay, this is only for the App Store.
Follow the previous steps and by clicking on Add payment method select PayPal. When selecting it, you must click on Login to PayPal and enter your login information.
Of course, you should know that PayPal in the App Store is not available in all countries. In Spain and many countries in Europe or the USA it is available, but in South America it is only available in Mexico.
How to pay with paysafecard in the App Store?
Paysafecard is a fairly popular payment method, however it is not fully accepted in the App Store. In order to use it we will need Mastercard associated with paysafecard, it is quite easy to get.
Once we have the paysafecard we can associate it with PayPal and pay by adding it as we have told you above. You may also be able to directly add the card to the App Store.

Apple does not specify much on its website the cards it accepts to pay in the App Store, but it does ensure that the vast majority are compatible. If you have a card from a bank or financial institution, the normal thing is that it works in the App Store.

To pay with a card in the App Store, all you have to do is add it as a payment method. Then you can buy any app by clicking on the buy button and identifying yourself with Face ID, Touch ID or your Apple ID password.
To add a card you just have to follow the steps in the first section and fill in your card details after clicking on Add payment method. You can use the camera to make them add faster.
How to pay in the App Store using the phone bill?
This is one of the newest forms of payment that Apple has introduced in the App Store. It is available in countries like Spain, Mexico and Chile and allows us to add purchases from the App Store to our phone bill.
Here is a list of the carriers and countries that are compatible with this feature. Follow the steps at the beginning and after clicking on Add payment method tap on Mobile phone. You must put the mobile phone and verify the payment method.
How can I buy on the App Store without a credit card?
To buy in the App Store if you have a credit card, you have several options. You can use PayPal or phone bill as we have taught you before, but you can also use the apple balance cards.
These cards are available in different stores, you can even send them by mail from the Apple website. They include a number that we must redeem in the App Store by entering the small circle with your photo and in Redeem code or gift card.
How to add balance to the Apple ID to buy in the App Store?
If you don’t have a card, you can also add a balance to your account from another credit card or account. To do so you must enter your App Store profile and then Add Balance to Apple ID. You will see several default options, but you can add any amount you want.
These are all the payment methods that Apple accepts in the App Store, not all are available in all countries for various reasons. Apple specifies in detail what methods are available in each country on its website.
