Newly discovered Pokémon, very special events in the game and much more news about the second DLC pack for Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield.
The Pokémon Company International and Nintendo today announced that Crown Snows, the new downloadable content for the Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield games, will arrive on October 23. In it, Trainers can explore vast, icy terrain filled with rugged mountains and sparkling snow. Both Pokémon Sword: Expansion Pass and Pokémon Shield: Expansion Pass can be purchased from the Nintendo eShop (1). Starting Friday, November 6, Trainers will be able to get a pack consisting of the base game of Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield and the corresponding expansion pass, which includes The Island of Armor and The Snows of the Crown (2). These packs are ideal for Trainers who have yet to embark on their journey through the Galar region.
In the video presentation, Tsunekazu Ishihara, President and CEO of The Pokémon Company, also revealed newly discovered Pokémon, new in-game features and cool bonuses for Pokémon Sword, Pokémon Shield, and the Expansion Pass, as well as new features for Pokémon GO.
New Pokémon discovered
Slowking of Galar
Category: Shaman Pokémon
Height: 1.8 m
Weight: 79.5 kg
Type: Poison and Psychic
Skill: Strange Medicine
The impression of the Shellder’s bite caused a chemical reaction between the ingested spices and the chemicals secreted by Galar’s Slowpoke, resulting in the Poison-type being acquired upon evolving into Galar’s Slowking. Slowking de Galar has been seen casting spells to communicate with each other and it seems that they also cast very mysterious spells when using some of their moves in combat. Strange Medicine, Galar’s Slowking ability, debuts in Crown Snows.
Height:> 25.0 m
Weight: ???,? kg
Skill: Iron Fist
When gigamaxed, Melmetal can use his stretchy liquid metal body to punch opponents no matter how far away they are. The Steel-type moves you use will turn into Gigacool, a very powerful move that hits opponents with shock waves and moving liquid metal. In addition to damaging the opponent, it prevents him from using the same attack twice in a row.
In Dynamax Adventures, players will team up with three other Trainers to explore Pokémon nests that Dynamax Pokémon appear to be lurking around. Instead of bringing their trusted Pokémon team with them, each will borrow a Pokémon to accompany them deep into the nest. If they come across a wild Dynamax Pokémon while exploring, they’ll have to join forces to make it through the raid. When they are victorious, they will have a chance to catch the Pokémon, and one of the Trainers will be able to switch the accompanying Pokémon to the one they just captured. They will be able to go even further into the nests thanks to the infinite way of the Dynamax Adventures, which will allow them to continue until they lose a fight.
In Crown Snow Trainers will have the opportunity to face off against all the Legendary Pokémon that have appeared in the main Pokémon video games. They will be able to find (and catch) them while traveling through the Crown Snows or in the Dynamax Adventures (3).
Special event with Pikachu
On the occasion of the launch of Snows in the Crown, a special in-game event will be held where players will be able to receive eight different Pikachu for their team. Starting Tuesday, September 29, and running until Friday, October 30, Trainers will be able to get special passwords in various places, such as on the official Play! Pokémon and the Pokémon Trainer Club email newsletter. By entering the passwords in Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield, you will get Pikachu, not once, but eight times, each with a different cap (4). All information about this event can be found at Pokemon.com/PikachuDistributions.
