Today Apple had an event focused on services and therefore we did not have news in terms of hardware. Today the iOS 12.2 update was also released and in it they have been discovered tracks and images of a new wireless headphoness, with which Apple would seek to expand the success of the AirPods, only that they would come under the Beats brand.
According to 9to5Mac, these headphones would be named ‘Powerbeats Pro’ and inside they would have much of what we have just seen in the recent second generation AirPods from Apple.
Like AirPods but with a new design
According to the information, these ‘Powerbeats Pro’, which by the way had already emerged in some previous rumors, are very similar to the Powerbeats3 in design, the difference is that it eliminates the cable that connects both headphones to make them “really wireless”.
In addition, the ‘Powerbeats Pro’ would be available in both black and white, and would have a case with charging system that would help extend the autonomy of the headphones, as with the AirPods, only without wireless charging available.
The interesting part is that supposedly these ‘Powerbeats Pro’ would have inside Apple’s H1 chip, the same as the second generation AirPods, so it would offer Siri via hands-free, direct connectivity with iOS and macOS, and probably better autonomy.
It will be interesting to know when these ‘Powerbeats Pro’ will be available, that being included in the new iOS 12.2 could be soon, as well as their price, which will be decisive to know if they compete with the AirPods or are a complement to expand the line of devices and yes reach more users.
