Today, with Frontier Pursuits, the world of Red Dead Online gets even deeper with the introduction of three new frontier activities. Each role represents a unique path filled with themed activities for any player looking to thrive on the frontier. Decide on the role of the bounty hunter and hunt down dangerous criminals, set up a company together with Cripps as a trader and turn your camp into a busy business or discover valuable and mysterious treasures as a collector. You can either focus on one role or tackle all three at once.
In addition to the special roles, today’s update also includes a wide range of new features and gameplay changes that improve the overall gaming experience:
- New items, weapons, clothing items and horse-drawn carriages
- Directional damage indicator to show the direction your character was hit from
- Additional horse breeds
- The ability to change the appearance of your character without resetting the game progress
- Additional memory slots for your own outfits
- Ability to name saved outfits
- Role-specific Free Roam Events
- Increased sale prices for looted jewelry
- Improved movement and animation speeds for smoother battles (incl.
- aiming, ___ing and reloading), faster looting and more
- Additional balancing and improvements

There is a one-time entry fee of 15 gold bars for each role to purchase a Bounty Hunter License, Butcher Table, or Collector’s Bag. However, it is also possible to unlock each of these starting paraphernalia for free. Twitch Prime members who linked their Twitch and Rockstar Games Social Club accounts by September 8th will receive the Bounty Hunter license for free. Anyone who missed this deadline should be able to get the license for free within 72 hours of linking accounts. Collectors who have successfully discovered all 54 hidden playing cards in GTA Online will receive the collector’s bag for free up to and including October 14th. All prospective retailers with an active PlayStation Plus membership will receive the Slaughter Table for free up to and including October 14th.
WHEELER, RAWSON & CO. CLUB
All players who enter the world of Red Dead Online at any time between September 10th and November 18th, 2019 will automatically become a member of the Wheeler, Rawson & Co. Club. This completely free membership grants you new clothing and accessories, special weapon protection, a cash bonus, free supply packs, an emote, a new flag for your camp, and more.
Those of you who want even more perks and gear can opt for the Outlaw Pass, which offers even more time-based rewards such as exclusive clothing items, weapon styles, camp styles, cash bonuses, gold gifts of up to 35 gold bars, and more for 35 gold bars offers more. BONUSES FOR ULTIMATE EDITION AND PS+
In addition to the free Battle Table to start the role of Merchant, PlayStation 4 players will also receive the Merchant Camp Style and Gun Case, both unlocked at Merchant Rank 5, for free at Wilderness Outfitters until October 14th. Also, through October 14th, PlayStation 4 players will get early access to the camp dog American Foxhound, the Shot in the Blue emote, three new ability cards (Gunslinger, Outnumbered, and Ride Like the Wind) and three new clothing items (the Carrigan hat, the Burnham boots and the Avery gloves). Also this month, as a PlayStation Plus benefit, there’s a RDO$250 gift for anyone who plays between now and October 7th, 2019.
All Ultimate Edition players will have the RDO$ waived on two new horses unlocked via the Bounty Hunter role: the sturdy light-colored Red Fox Breton and the stately Roan Breton.
