Red Dead Redemption: The Outlaws Collection – hope for a RDR remaster is dying out.
You can laugh that the entertainment industry has been dominated by the tendency to refresh iconic creations, be it movies or games. Nevertheless, it is hardly surprising, since the recipients themselves often demand it. In addition, remakes and remasters like the Crash Bandicoot trilogy or the new Demon’s Souls show that the return of the old heroes does not always have to be as bad as in the case of the tragic XIII. So when on Twitter there was a “leak” about Red Dead Redemption: The Outlaws Collection, some players were inclined to believe in the debut first installmentcycle in new robes. Unfortunately for John Marston fans, we are probably dealing with a forgery.

What is wrong with this leak shows, among others Zack Zwiezen, editor of Kotaku. The journalist points to a common practice used in fan projects: choosing the first graphics in PNG format found by Google. Indeed, if we enter the phrases “Arthur Morgan RDR 2 PNG” and “John Marston PNG” in the search engine, then in the first place we will see identical images as those used on the cover of the alleged Red Dead Redemption collection.
Of course, this is not sufficient proof, as is the identical sun artwork on the covers of the alleged issue of The Outlaws Collection and Red Dead Redemption 2. We already had official covers, which – according to the players – looked like an untrained fan creation. However, Zwiezen pays attention to a “small” detail. The leaked artwork shows trees sticking out in front of Arthur Morgan and John Marston, which don’t blend in with the rest of the cover. Apparently, someone forgot about it when combining several images, or decided that it was not needed – after all, people will only see what they want to see.
There have been cases where an apparently obvious forgery turned out to be a genuine leak. However, this time everything indicates that Red Dead Redemption: The Outlaws Collection can be put between cartoons. Therefore, we always recommend that you be careful with any unofficial information, even if it seems much more credible than the image described in the text. If the RDR collection is still planned by Rockstar Games, so far the company has not revealed its intentions. Still, let’s hope such plans exist, as online comments clearly show fans would embrace the remake announcement of the original Red Dead Redemption with open arms.
