The latest DLC pack includes four amazing new multiplayer maps. The add-on also offers the much-anticipated finale of Infinite Warfare’s Zombies campaign – the chapter “The Beast from Beyond” set in an abandoned military base on a remote ice planet.
September 6, 2017 – Activision has revealed the first official details of Infinity Ward’s Retribution, the fourth DLC pack for the 2016 US best-selling console game (excluding bundle sales), Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. The bundle includes four epic new multiplayer maps as well as the final Zombies adventure, The Beast from Beyond, set in an abandoned military base on a remote ice planet. Retribution will debut on September 12, first on PlayStation 4, with other platforms expected in the future.
The new trailer for The Beast from Beyond can be viewed here:
“Our team has had a lot of fun creating content for the Infinite Warfare community,” said Dave Stohl, studio head of Infinity Ward. “Retribution is the culmination of a thrilling zombie story where players will travel to a new place full of surprises and discover what evil forces have been pulling the strings since the very beginning. For fans of multiplayer, we have prepared four new maps that use the skills of combat suits and a great gameplay formula. We are looking forward to September 12th.”
The Beast from Beyond, the final chapter of the five-part zombie adventure from Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, features the return of Willard Wyler. He is an enigmatic villain, a director who was voiced and modeled by Paul Reubens (Pee-wee’s Big Holiday, Gotham). Wyler, in his all-new horror, has re-imprisoned the four main characters. The film is set in an abandoned military base on a remote ice planet. As players discover more and more infected teammates as time progresses, they are forced to battle herds of undead in order to uncover the truth and escape Wyler’s movie sets once and for all. The Beast from Beyond also features new weapons, traps, and more to complete the unique Call of Duty action. Returning to the cast are Seth Green (Robot Chicken, Austin Powers) as “Poindexter”, Ike Barinholtz (Neighbors, Suicide Squad) as “AJ”, Jay Pharoah (White Famous, Saturday Night Live) as “Andre” and Sasheer Zamata (Saturday Night Live, Inside Amy Schumer) as “Sally”, bringing the story together. In addition to The Beast from Beyond Chapter, Retribution also includes four new multiplayer maps:
- Carnage – A post-apocalyptic racetrack on the California coast. Carnage features long-range firing points and environmental hazards – including fire traps that players can fire on demand to fry enemies.
- Heartland – In Heartland, teams will go head-to-head in a small American town simulation that is a new take on the classic Warhawk map from Call of Duty: Ghosts. Players can grab a bite to eat at the local ice cream parlor, then take opponents off the street with the Black Hole Generator.
- Altitude – Set in a luxury sky-high mall located on the edge of the universe. Altitude throws players into a chaotic middle ground where efficient flanking is key to success. In addition, the map is surrounded by spectacular waterfalls floating in the air.
- Depot 22 – Depot 22 is a dive on the edge of civilization – a three-line map perfect for mid-range clashes. Players can fight in close quarters in the cantina or take down enemies on the wall of cars of a speeding train.
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Retribution will debut on September 12, 2017, first on PlayStation 4, with other platforms expected in the future. The game is rated PEGI 18 (adults only).
