Rite of the Lantern debuts in Genshin Impact to continue offering things to do for its players and most importantly, to get a few extra rewards.
Genshin Impact continues to grow and this free to play welcomes a new and gigantic event known as Rite of the Lantern. Update 1.3 brings us a lot of things to do for a limited time during this event. We tell you everything you need to know:
To begin with, the duration of the event will be from February 10 to February 28. This event will have several sections and there will be three phases where the missions “Twilight under the lantern” and “A light over the sea” will begin later, on February 14 and 18, respectively. Of course, the rewards for your missions and challenges are notable for their abundance of protogems.

Requirements to participate in the event
- Pass Chapter I Act I “The land between the monoliths”
- Have an Adventure Rank 23 or higher.
Lights on the horizon
The first thing you need to do to unlock this main quest is complete Xiao’s legendary quest “King of the Golden Wings”. From here on, the plot of this mission centers on three different acts: “The origin of the lanterns”, “Twilight under the lantern” and “A light on the sea”. Among the rewards you will get you can get Protogems, Hero’s Ingenuity and more.

Completing requests will unlock Holiday Fever. This section also has different sections. “The festival has only just begun”, “Guests everywhere”, and “A lantern for each family” will allow us to invest up to 1000 talismans to get a 4-star character from Liyue.
