Samsung, the market leader in gaming monitors*, announces its own e-sports tournament. With this, the brand marks the expansion of the leading Odyssey portfolio of gaming monitors.
Named after the innovative range of gaming monitors, the Odyssey League is a search for Europe’s most avid PUBG players. Players who dare to take on the battle and are willing to prove they have a chance to win a share of the €25,000 prize pool.
The expansion of the Odyssey portfolio began with the introduction of the G7 and G9 at CES in January and now continues with the launch of the most accessible monitor to date: the G5. Designed with demanding gamers in mind, the G5 delivers high performance in every area: lightning-fast 1ms response time, industry-leading 144Hz* refresh rate, powerful AMD FreeSync Premium, and sharp Quad-High Definition (QHD; 2560×1440 resolution) VA panel. In addition, the G5 features an advanced Samsung-developed 1000R curved screen that reduces eye strain and eliminates distractions and lag time.
The tournament, for which registrations open today, consists of national qualifiers and knockouts in 12 European regions, running from September 28 to November 29. The best players from each region will advance to the two-day pan-European final on December 5 and 6.
