Scratches on PS5 are the reason why it should always be dusty

Cleaning scratches were the bane of the first versions of the previous generation consoles. The problem was not bypassed both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, which had partially glossy covers. As it turns out the same applies to PlayStation 5. The black part of the new Sony console is extremely easy to draw.

This is evidenced by the news published on the Glitched website. An attempt to get rid of dust from the console with a microfiber cloth ended with the editorial copy getting the first and admittedly small, but clearly visible scratches up close; you can view them in the above photo published by Glitched. In addition, as the authors of this message note, the problem is exacerbated by the fact that the Japanese giant did not protect its console with any protective foil, which, although it would not look particularly impressive, would postpone the problem of a scratched housing (you could keep it until the would not start to peel off by itself).

The scratch-prone PS5 casing is every pedant’s nightmare (but not only).

So is there any remedy for this ailment? You can expect that we will not wait long for the appearance of special protective filmswith which we will secure this delicate element of PS5. But before that happens, consider cleaning the black part of the console casing using only compressed air. We do not recommend blowing and blowing on it, because the droplets that settle on it can only intensify the ugly effect, encouraging us to use a cloth or, horrifyingly, a paper towel.

Meanwhile, let us remind you that today PlayStation 5 debuted on store shelves in selected countries. In Poland, we will wait another week for the new Sony console, until November 19.
