SEGA announces Valkyria Chronicles 4 for PS4, Switch and Xbox One
SEGA has confirmed that the web-teaser they released last week was to announce Valkyria Chronicles 4.
The fourth part of this strategy saga will be re-set in an equivalent to World War II in the game universe (during the same time as the first game), but this time it will focus on a campaign where the arrival of a hard Winter threatens the lives of soldiers as much as the enemy side.
The combat system will be an evolution of the BLITZ (Battle of Live Tactical Zone) used by the first three games, which combines a strategic turn-based approach with real-time elements. The CANVAS graphics system also returns, bringing the game closer to a moving watercolor.
Valkyria Chronicles 4 will be released in the West in 2018 for PS4, Switch and Xbox One. In Japan it will arrive on March 21 on PS4 and in summer on Switch; the Xbox One version is exclusive to the West.
