SEGA has announced that it will modify the boxes of all its future PC releases to be 100% recyclable.
Sports Interactive investigated how to make this packaging for Football Manager 2020, distributed by SEGA. For this, they were looking for alternatives that would maintain a good appearance in the stores without raising the cost of production too much.
In the video that accompanies this news, made by ex-Eurogamer Chris Bratt, Miles Jacobson from Sports Interactive comments on the development process of this box, which uses cardboard and recycled paper as well as recyclable low-density polyethylene.
SEGA has decided to adopt this packaging for all PC games starting with Total War: Rome II – Enemy at the Gates Edition which will be released on February 6.
