All you need to do is keep the workshops stocked with the goods they need. Every workshop is different and it is not clear exactly how to buy a workshop or how to restock one. Below, I’ll walk you through everything you need to start your business empire on the right foot.

To start making endless money, you will need to save. Workshops are (currently) the best way to make money in the game, but you’ll need at least 16,000 Denar before you can start buying.

  • City trip, hold (Left alt) to find a workshop in town. You can find tanneries, lumber shops, blacksmiths and more.

  • Once your workshop has been purchased, you will need to keep them in stock with materials. Woodworking shops need hardwood – you can acquire it or buy it in nearby towns.
  • To “donate” your wood workshop materials, you must sell the materials for them.

Epicrotea is a profitable lumber shop – buy it and you can buy hardwood in nearby towns like Andurn and Uthelaim. As long as you resell the material to the city with your workshop, it will be restocked.

How much you earn can also depend on what cities need and if those cities are currently at war. A city that needs supplies will pay more, so choose your battles wisely to increase your profits even more.

Catch looters

All over the campaign map, small groups of looters can be found. These bandits are useless, and no one will care if you kill them and take their things. Hunt them down and fight them. Survivors can be taken prisoner and sold, while they should also have certain goods that you can sell in a nearby town. This method will provide you with a modest but steady income, more than enough to complete the “Rebuild Your Clan” quest.

Quests

Visiting cities means you can do quests. When you first arrive in a city, look at the top right of the screen and you should see the portraits of the people who live there. Anyone with an exclamation mark on their portrait has a quest that you can help them out. Just click on the portrait, then click Speak to find out what it is. Completing the quests will earn you gold and better diplomacy with this clan.
