[SOLVED] : Valorant: How to unlock agents?

That’s it, Valorant is there, open to everyone. You can now chain headshot and start your pro career on the game. But before that, you will have to unlock all the agents in the game. Not very easy at the moment, since all this is hidden behind sub-menus and an interface. always understandable. Find out how to unlock agents in Valorant.

Two agents to obtain for free

When you arrive on the game, you have 5 agents for free: Brimstone, Jett, Phoenix, Sage and Sova. Nothing to do to unlock them. You’ll also get a quest line that when completed will give you two Agents to unlock.

The quest is divided into ten levels, and every 5 levels reached the game gives you the choice of an agent to obtain. To do this, go to the Collection tab, then Agents. There, take the agent of your choice.

Other agents to unlock with contracts

For the rest of the roster, things get complicated. Once the entire initial quest is complete, the game will offer you to activate an agent’s contract. This allows you to obtain various cosmetic items, tags, titles or weapon skin.

But above all, completing tier 5 of a contract unlocks the agent. It is the experience gained in games that allows progress in contracts, regardless of the agent played. It is not necessary to play the agent to level up his contract. For example, to advance in Raze’s contract, you can play Viper, Jett, or any other agent.

To activate a contract, go to the Collection tab again, then Agents. There, click on the button Activate, located above the agent selection bar. You can only have one active contract at a time, but you can change it at any time.

Finally, for those in a hurry, know that it is possible to spend VALORANT Points – obtained by spending real money. 1000 points allow you to directly unlock tier 5 of a contract, and therefore obtain the agent. If you spent real money during the beta, Riot Games will refund your points to you, with a 20% bonus.

How to unblock all agents?

When Valorant launches, you have the opportunity to learn about 11 agents. How to unblock all agents? What are contracts? The editorial staff explains everything to you.

Since the official launch of Valorant, Riot Games has made available 11 agents, 5 of which are directly playable, namely Sova, Jett, Phoenix, Sage and Brimstone. Six other agents are unlockable, these are Raze, Viper, Omen, Breach, Cypher and Reyna. After having chained a few games and carried out a few missions, you will have accumulated enough experience to obtain 2 tokens (level 5 and level 10) and thus, you will have the possibility of unlocking 2 agents of your choice among the 6 available. If you are unsure of which agent to unlock first, you can try them out in the “Practice Zone”.

Now it remains to explain how to unlock the other agents. To do this, nothing could be simpler, you just have to complete the “Contracts” of the launch. Once the first 10 levels have been completed, they will be available in the “Collection” menu, then in the “Agents” tab. All you have to do is select the agent you want to unblock and click on “Activate”. Once the “contracts” are activated, you must play games to earn XP and thus unlock rewards.

There are two ways to gain experience in Valorant: by completing weekly and daily challenges, and by playing games (100 points per round played + 200 points per round won). Level 1 requires 25,000 XP to complete and each subsequent level takes 25,000 additional XP in addition to the previous one (level 2 XP = 25,000 + 25,000, level 3 = 50,000 + 25,000, level 4 = 75,000 + 25 000, etc…). In the end, it will take a total of 375,000 XP to reach level 5 and unlock the agent.

For those who want to unlock it immediately, you will have to spend Valorant Points, at the rate of 1000 points (200 per level), or about 10 €. Note that only the first 5 levels can be unlocked with Valorant Points, in order to allow you to unlock the agent more easily, but the other 5 levels of contracts are only possible with XP. You can also activate contracts for agents you already own. By unlocking the levels, you will get special items, such as lucky charms, graffiti, banners, all with the image of the agent in question.

Valorant Beta Guide: How to Unlock New Characters

The closed beta of Valorant includes five characters, called Agents, unlocked for everyone who starts the game. These free agents are Phoenix, Sage, Sova, Brimstone, and Jett. But five other agents are locked up and ask the players to win them over. Unfortunately, the game doesn’t tell you exactly what you need to do to access these characters. With that in mind, here are all of the ways you can unlock new agents like Raze, Breach, Cypher, Viper, and Omen in the beta of Valorant.

Unlock two agents when leveling up

During the beta, you can unlock two agents completely for free, just by playing a few games. When you first log in, you will have a mission that will require you to level up. There will be a progress bar at the bottom of your screen on the ‘Latest’ tab in the main menu that will show how much XP you need to earn. There are 10 levels and a new agent can be selected at level 5 and again at level 10. Depending on your performance in each match, reaching level 10 takes between three and five hours.

Win more agents through contracts

You can activate contracts on the agent screen in the Collection tab of the main menu. The contract for each agent requires you to earn a certain amount of XP by playing the game. This XP can be earned by playing any other character in the game. Each level unlocks different cosmetic items and at level five you unlock the agent himself.

You can only open one contract at a time, but if you switch contracts halfway through, you won’t lose any of the progress you made when you roll back.

If you’re in a rush and don’t want to increase your contracts by earning XP, you can also pay to unlock levels. Each level costs 200 value points to unlock, which means you will need 1000 (around $ 10) to purchase five levels and unlock the agent.
