Sony shows the PlayStation 5 interface in a new State of Play

Sony has shown in a video the interface and the UX (user experience) of PlayStation 5.

The new Control Center will allow access to almost all the important functions of the system without leaving the game, while Activities will show a series of “cards” with new possibilities to take advantage of the games as tips or help; they will also allow you to jump directly to other levels.

One of the interface’s priorities, in the words of Hideaki Nishino, vice president of platform management and planning, is that we jump from one game to another as quickly as possible: “We believe that the less time you spend waiting to interact with the system, the more time you will have to play video games. “

Other news: you can see your friends playing live and even continue to see them on your screen while you continue playing. The Create menu will take your progress through the games into account when sharing screenshots with friends, and will actually warn you of potential spoilers if you haven’t played the part shown yet.

The captures, by the way, will be at 4K both in video and in photo.
