The “easter eggs” of Tesla cars They are one of those things that add value to your vehicles, a fun way to access hidden functions that are born from the good humor of those who work in the company. From here we have already seen the ‘Christmas Mode’, as well as the submarine and even the rainbow track, but now the Atari games are yet to come.

This was announced by Elon Musk himself on Twitter, mentioned that in approximately four weeks the V9.0 software update for the Model S, Model X and Model 3 would arrive, which, in addition to arriving with improvements and new functions, will include some classic Atari games.

Some of best classic @Atari games coming as Easter eggs in Tesla V9.0 release in about 4 weeks. Thanks @Atari!

‘Tempest’, ‘Pole Position’ and ‘Missile Command’ will be the first

Musk said that for this launch he expected to include games such as ‘Pole Position’, ‘Tempest’ and ‘Missile Command’, which means that later they could get more to have a whole classic catalog direct to Tesla cars.

In fact, Musk anticipated that some games will be linked to the functions and controls of the same car. For example, ‘Pole Position’ can be played with the steering wheel of the car when it is stopped, while the rest of the games would be controlled through the touch screen of Tesla cars.

Hoping to include last three in this release, with pole position linked to actual car steering wheel (while stationary tbc haha)

But that was not all, as the CEO of Tesla also sent a call for all those developers interested in creating video games for their cars, which would go beyond the “easter eggs” as they would seek to be synchronized with the touch screen, a smartphone and the use of car controls.

If you’re into video game development, consider applying to Tesla. We want to make super fun games that integrate the center touch screen, phone & car irl.

As for the rest of the news that this will include software version 9.0, there is no official information yet and all the details are expected to be released in the coming days. From what little is known, this update will include the new “full self-driving features” as well as “dash-cam” functions. We will be attentive to any news and confirmation of everything that this new version of software will include.

That issue is better in latest Autopilot software rolling out now & fully fixed in August update as part of our long-awaited Tesla Version 9. To date, Autopilot resources have rightly focused entirely on safety. With V9, we will begin to enable full self-driving features.
