The 5 best free to play games, according to Metacritic.
Do you play any of them?
Games like Call of Duty Warzone, Rocket League, Fortnite, and PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds / PUBG Mobile have hundreds of millions of players online. It’s not just because the games are so popular and famous, but also because they’re free – part of that is why so many players have been won over.
However, there are many other free games that are not as popular and do not reach such high player levels, a sign that, being free, it does not mean that these same players consider it good. In fact, only a small percentage of free games come to be praised by players, while others not so much, but for that reason we leave you with a compilation of the Top five free to play based on your Metacritic score.
We start the list with the game that has the highest score, 89. Developed by Respawn Entertainment, Apex Legends is a Battle Royale released in 2019 with games of up to 60 players divided into teams of three. You can play in PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S and PC; there is one on the way Nintendo Switch version, although it was delayed to 2021.
Nowadays, Destiny 2 needs little introduction, but kneads in Metacritic a score of 87. Released as the sequel to Destiny, and also developed by Bungie, this first-person shooter has several expansions under its belt. The last one, Beyond the light, takes us to Europe, the icy moon of Jupiter, to explore it and we will have to face extreme weather conditions.
# HobbyCumple30 … but it’s not the only one: these 50 great games also celebrate their 30th anniversary in 2021
Another game that has been, and is, very popular, since until just a few months ago it had to be bought. However, as of September 23, Rocket League became one more free to play. With a score of 87, like Destiny 2, the Psyonix game can be enjoyed on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.
This is quite a special case, as Warframe is the oldest free to play game on this list, but that continues to generate mountains of players today and on Metacritic it has a score of 86. Developed in 2013 by Digital Extremes, is a cooperative online action game set in a science fiction world where you will have to play with your warframes, including more than 30, each with unique abilities.
Last on the list, but not least, we have a veteran of free and popular games. Developed and published by Epic games, and with a Metacritic score of 85, this Battle royale manages to hook young and old, since they are mass battles of players fighting each other.
