The biggest game releases of July 2022

Anyway, the fact is, we’re here to help you curate all the best that’s coming to video games throughout July, so let’s get to know the main releases of the month together!

F1 2022 – Day 1 – PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series XS

Fasten your seat belt, because the month is already starting by stepping on the gas with F1 2022, the official racing game of the current season in the most noble category of motorsport! Always developed by Codemasters, but now part of EA studios, the game naturally brings an updated cast and cars, but also physics improvements, new tracks and a mode called F1 Life to live a racer’s life by collecting cars and accessories.

Arcadegeddon – Day 5 – PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series XS

In the middle of last year, our dear Francesco and Luciana dove headfirst into testing Arcadegeddon in early access, and while they’ve garnered both praise and criticism, it’ll be interesting to see how the full product does at launch. Mixing PvP with PvE, the game brings a very charismatic look and the promise of many hours of gameplay in the journey to protect the last arcade in town!

Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series – Day 8 – PC, Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series XS

Who lived, who was there, who had the honor of sharing a little bit of their life with Klonoa, will certainly be happy on the 8th, when Bandai Namco makes Phantasy Reverie Series available. Here we will have remasters of Klonoa Door to Phantomile and Klonoa 2 Lunatea’s Veil, both running at 60 fps and supporting 4K resolution on compatible platforms, as well as adjustable difficulty mode and two-player co-op multiplayer. A paradise for platform fans!

Stray – Day 19 – PC, PS4, PS5

If you’re like me, the simple fact of having a game starring a kitten is probably more than enough to get your attention. This charming third-person adventure captivates even more for bringing some science fiction elements, such as robots and universal translators, all with a lot of cuteness and adventure. Best of all, in addition to the PC version, it’s also coming to PlayStation Plus as part of Extra subscriptions or higher!

Nobounaga’s Ambition Rebirth – Day 21 – PC, Switch, PS4

Maybe you don’t know, but Nobunaga’s Ambition was one of the first turn-based strategy games in video games, starting its history back in 1983 at the hands of Koei. Set in the Sengoku period of feudal Japan, the game won over fans and inspired new adventures, now returning with Rebirth and a new mechanic called Fief, which allows you to conquer territories and then delegate them to your subordinates to manage.

Live a Live – Day 22 – Switch

Keeping the retro vibe, which seems to be the tonic of this month and that will only accentuate in the next releases, this month we will also have the return of Live a Live, a cult game that Square brought to the Super Famicom back in 1994, but that now will have another chance to be a hit with a neat remake exclusive to Nintendo Switch! It’s an RPG that no one can fault, with seven different scenarios spread across seven eras in a single epic narrative!

Capcom Arcade 2nd Stadium – Day 22 – PC, Switch, PS4, Xbox One

The first Capcom Arcade Stadium brought a fun collection of classic arcades from the producer, and on the 22nd it will repeat the dose revisiting another part of its rich history in arcades. The scheme will still be the same: the base game has a free download, and then you’ll buy the arcades that interest you the most, SonSon being free. Among the new machines we will have 30 games, including Street Fighter Alpha 3, Mega Man the Power Battle and more!

Azure Striker Gunvolt 3 – Day 28 – Switch

Speaking of nostalgia, this one must be the best request of the month for the most retro and hardcore players. Developed by the talented team at Inti Creates, the Azure Striker Gunvolt series does justice to the good old days of Mega Man and offers thrilling action with 2D gunplay and platforming. With a new English dub, this will be the first numbered chapter in the series since 2016, so get ready for some adrenaline rush!

Digimon Survive – Day 29 – PC, Switch, PS4, Xbox One

It’s been a long wait until Digimon Survive gets a definitive release date, but it looks like it will now! This one has everything to be the best creature game so far, mixing several genres of gameplay that should yield high forks and possibilities in the narrative. In addition to many battles and tactical elements, the interaction between the characters will be essential and we can’t wait to see how this game turns out!

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 – Day 29 – Switch

In these times when we have so many games being postponed, it’s rare to see a great game being pushed forward on its release date! Who knows how, Nintendo’s wizards managed to do that with Xenoblade Chronicles 3, and soon we’ll be able to check out another chapter of this acclaimed JRPG franchise! We even had a themed Direct focused only on this game on the 22nd with lots of news!

And speaking of news, July still has many other releases, so check out some honorable mentions now:
