As announced, the latest flagship smartphone of the new POCOPHONE sub-brand, which was created by Xiaomi, saw the light of day. We already know everything about this device. It promises to be a surefire hit, all thanks to a very low price. Here’s what you need to know about POCO F1.

Why did Xiaomi create a new POCOPHONE brand?

At the beginning, it is worth mentioning why Xiaomi has brought a new sub-brand to life. We had a similar situation with Huawei and its sub-brand Honor. As you probably know, the creation of Honor by Huawei had a very positive impact on the company’s revenues. That is why Xiaomi created the POCO brand. The project itself was created by a former Google employee and Xiaomi product manager in India. The manufacturer has adopted a very interesting strategy – smartphones are to be efficient, and at the same time not to cost too much.

Cost cutting is visible in the quality of the device

It is true that the company’s representatives argue that they did not want to use a glass housing, unlike the competition. According to research conducted by the company, a large proportion of people equip their smartphones with various types of covers, so the manufacturer decided that the use of glass or aluminum does not make much sense. The effect of this is that POCO F1 has unibody made of polycarbonateie plastic. Thanks to this treatment, the construction of the device is to fit better in the hand and better withstand mechanical damage.

As you can see, the above prices are really sensational, but they only apply to the Indian market. In Europe, POCO F1 has cost around 350 euros for the basic variant, which after conversion gives us about PLN 1,500.
