• Fortnite now supports ray tracing on PC
  • This is ensured by the RTX update released today
  • There is also support for DLSS and Nvidia Reflex

From now on, you’ll see Fortnite in a whole new light, as the game’s RTX update is here and lets you use Raytracing and Nvidia DLSS on the PC.

In any case, if you have a suitable graphics card, you obviously cannot do without it!

Ray tracing brings new visuals and lighting effects to the game, for example the latest update includes improvements for ambient darkening, shadows, reflections and global lighting in real time.

To clarify the benefits, Nvidia has also created its own map for Creative Mode, which you can access with the Block code 9189-0518-5408.

Nvidia DLSS, on the other hand, serves to boost your performance so that you can enjoy ray tracing with a higher frame rate. You have three DLSS options in Fortnite: quality, balance, and performance.

“With these options, you control the DLSS rendering resolution and can find the right balance between image quality and smooth frame rate,” he says. “Meanwhile, Nvidia Reflex ensures ultra-low latency in Fortnite. Thanks to direct integration into Fortnite, ‘Reflex Low Latency’ mode adapts the game engine so that tasks are executed exactly when they are needed for rendering. Long GPU render queues are prevented and the CPU does not have to intervene as much in graphics-intensive scenes. “
