“Super Mario has been a celebrated figure in the world of video games for over 30 years”Says Maarten Simons, Creative Lead of the LEGO Nintendo Entertainment System ™, of the LEGO Group. “Many adults still have memories of the first time they saw Mario jumping on the small screen, even though the graphics are much simpler than the current ones. With the LEGO Nintendo Entertainment System, we are giving them the opportunity to embrace that nostalgia, recreating one of the most beloved consoles of all time to review the Super Mario of their childhood and be able to share this experience, of what games were in the years 80, with their children. ”

The LEGO Group and Nintendo announced a partnership this year, bringing a LEGO Super Mario universe to life, through the Initial Pack set – Adventures with Mario (the only one that brings the LEGO Mario figure) that features a wide variety of instant motion reactions , color and action pieces. This set was followed in May by a series of Power-Up Packs and in June by the presentation of the entire range of Expansion Sets and Collectible Character Packs. All were designed to build the World of Super Mario, allowing players to unleash their creativity by building exactly the levels and challenges they want to see LEGO Mario and friends overcome.
