At the end of June, LG introduced the LG TONE Free HBS-FN6 and HBS-FN4, two fully wireless headphones. The Korean company then announced their launch throughout the month of July and did not fail to deliver on its promise. So the new LG TONE Free they land in our country for 149 and 99 euros, respectively.

If we look at the photos, we’ll see that the two models are really similar, and that’s what they are. The fundamental differences are in the charging case, as the LG TONE Free HBS-FN6 has a UVnano case (a case with ultraviolet light) which, according to LG, kills bacteria and germs while chargingas well as wireless charging. The FN4 are the same, but without these two functions.

As previously stated, the LG TONE Free HBS-FN6 has a housing with ultraviolet light which, according to the manufacturer “reduces bacteria created by daily use, leaving them clean and free of dirt”. LG ensures that reduces by “99.9%” bacteria that accumulate by the daily user and that the process only takes 10 minutes. Likewise, they cite a study from the Korea Testing & Research Institute which “confirms that UV LED light inside the charging case reduces Staphylococcus Aureus and Escherichia Coli in headphones near the ear canals.”

Now that we talk about the case, it is worth mentioning the maximum theoretical autonomy. Each earbud has a capacity of 55mAh, while the case itself has 390mAh. According to LG, this is enough to get six hours of battery life with headphones and 12 more hours to charge them with the case, for a total of 18 hours. Ultimately, it will depend on how we use it, how much volume, etc.

Speaking of battery, the company says that with just five minutes of charging you can get up to an hour of extra battery life, but you’ll have to try to get out of the doubt. Remember that one of the advantages of FN6 is that the case can be charged wirelessly or via USB type C, while the FN4 can only be charged by cable.

The headphones have two built-in microphones designed for calls. The internal microphone picks up and amplifies voice, while the second microphone reduces external noise. It also has a touchpad that allows you to perform actions, such as controlling music, by tapping and tapping. It should be noted that they also have IPX4 certification.
