When we spend a lot of time playing on the computer, it is normal for our hands to sweat, especially now that it is summer. This, beyond causing an unpleasant feeling to the touch, makes the mouse dirty. In this situation, Mindshunter announced the Zéphyr, a gaming mouse whose goal is to keep your hands from sweating. How? ‘Or’ What? With a small rgb fan inside.
In addition to the fan, which we will talk about in more detail in the following paragraphs, the company makes sure that its perforated structure is resistant to sweat and fingerprints, making it easier to clean. The mouse is currently in pre-production and will launch on Kickstarter on July 22It will therefore be necessary to see if it obtains financing and, if it is obtained, if it ends up on the market.
A fan for the palm of your hand
The mouse, as you can see in the pictures, has the perforated upper structure. This is something that we see more and more in gaming mice and it is a way to reduce the weight of the device. In this case, Mindshunter makes sure your mouse weighs 68 grams, about 20 grams less than the Razer Basilisk V2, to give an example. This surface, they say, is anti-fingerprint and sweat resistant.
The most striking is inside, because this is where the RGB fan is found. It’s tiny and you can adjust to three levels: 4,000 rpm, 7,000 rpm and 10,000 rpm. It is tilted at 45º so that the air hits directly with the palm of the hand. It is powered by the USB cable that will be used to connect it to the computer, so theoretically it shouldn’t consume a lot of power.
The sensor it uses is the Pixart 3389, which is the same as the famous HyperX Pulsefire Surge. This sensor is capable of delivering 400 inches per second (IPS) and has a range between 100 and 16,000 DPI. These can be changed via a button to any of the five default settings. The switches are OMROM and depending on the brand can support up to 50 million clicks.
On the web the price doesn’t come up, but in their Facebook group they claim the device will be released for around $ 160. However, the early versions for Kickstarter will cost $ 79. They plan to launch it in black, white and red. As we mentioned earlier, this is a device in development and will be funded on Kickstarter.
