The open-world space adventure EVERSPACE 2 is coming to PC in April.
After six major content updates over the past two years in Early Access, independent AA developer ROCKFISH Games announces that the long-awaited open-world space-looter shooter EVERSPACE 2 on April 6 for PC and in Summer 2023 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S will appear.

Overall, we’ve invested a whopping eight-figure sum into the development of the game to create something that we’re as excited about as our players are. Our team is hard at work putting the finishing touches on all content for the big release day. And even after the last story chapter in EVERSPACE 2, there is still a lot for the players to discover.”
As the launch of EVERSPACE 2 draws nearer, ROCKFISH Games distances itself from 8th generation consoles.
“Our vision for EVERSPACE 2 exceeds the technical possibilities offered by last generation consoles. Our team has invested a lot of time to create a satisfying EVERSPACE 2 experience for all fans on Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Ultimately, however, we would have to make too many restrictions, which would mean that the final version would no longer meet our quality standards,” says Schade. “We are reaching out to the backers who supported our Kickstarter campaign and requested a console version to ensure they receive a PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S version. Players who do not have access to these platforms will receive a refund.”
As the team works to add more enemies, rewards, challenges, catalysts, gear, perks, boss fights, a new trade map and more character customization options to the game, final touches to the cutscenes and much more in preparation for launch, there is Another revelation: another companion and an entirely new star system will be available at launch. With a significant amount of content added in Early Access by ROCKFISH Games over the past two years, the PC version of EVERSPACE 2 will be priced from €38.99 to €49 on February 20th on Steam, Microsoft Store and GOG. €99 raised.
Together with Maximum Games, ROCKFISH Games is also planning a physical Deluxe Edition for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Pre-orders will be available from April 6th, at which time further information will be announced.
EVERSPACE 2 is currently available in Early Access on Steam, GOG and the Microsoft Store. The release on the next-gen consoles Xbox and PlayStation is planned for mid-2023, and a version optimized for Steam Deck will also be released at the same time. EVERSPACE 2 is currently available in 12 different languages, including German, English, Brazilian Portuguese, Czech, French, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Spanish, and simplified and traditional Chinese. Russian language will be added to PC Launch.

EVERSPACE 2 continues the story of Adam Roslin from the first part of the series. Set in four sprawling star systems for space pilots to explore, players will experience Adam’s emotional journey and personal development from an immortal clone space pilot to an individual of character whose death has ultimate consequences in an open-world action RPG. EVERSPACE 2 offers more than 50 hours of gameplay in the current Early Access version and already contains all core mechanics of the intended full version.
EVERSPACE 2 can be purchased here on Steam and on GOG. The full version for PC, including Mac and native Linux and optimized Steam Deck support, Xbox and PlayStation will be available in early 2023 at a reasonably increased price.
