The PlayStation Store website is being redesigned – Sony is deleting old wishlists
- The Playstation Store website will be renewed between October 21 and 28
- From then on, only PS4 and PS5 games will be listed
- Old wishlists will be deleted
The Playstation Store is getting ready for the next gen: Some users have been informed by email that the PC and mobile phone version of the sales page will be fundamentally changed.
According to the notification, the new Playstation Store will go online on the PC from October 21st to 26th and on the mobile phone from October 28th and will no longer list games, apps or other products for PS3, PS Vita or PSP in the future.
The site should now apparently concentrate entirely on Playstation 4 and 5. From a marketing point of view, it certainly makes sense, but is a bit cumbersome for nostalgics and retro fans: All older consoles have an extra store where you can also download the games you have bought so far.
With the launch of the new store, the previous wish list function will also be abolished so that everything on it will be deleted. It is not known exactly why this feature is being removed. It would be impractical for wishlists to disappear altogether, but it is more likely that Sony will introduce a new, revised feature for them. However, you should definitely save all game entries that you have on it and want to keep them, otherwise you will lose them with the new store.
