The last great work of Rockstar Games. Red Dead Redemption II has become in its own right one of the best video games of the entire past generation. Nevertheless, due to backward compatibility Available on PS5 and Xbox Series X, the old west has a new opportunity in the new generation.
Now, thanks to The Bit Analyst, we have been able to know the performance of the game on both consoles. First of all, to say that the title is simply impressive, two years after its launch it still manages to be one of the most beautiful and powerful videogames on a graphical level.
As can be seen in the video, comparisons have been made with all the imaginable parameters: textures, resolutions, fps or load times, among others. Remember that Red Dead Redemption II It is not yet optimized for the new consoles, so the result is similar to what we can find on a PS4 Pro and an Xbox One X.
Xbox Series X manages to reach a resolution of 3840x2160p, while PS5 conforms to the maximum quality achieved in PS4 Pro, that is, 1920x2160p. Regarding the framerate, Series X has a slight frame-pacing, with PS5 being the one that stays consistent in this regard with a stable 30fps.
Conclusion: the game looks great on both devices and the best thing will be to wait for the Rockstar patch to begin to appreciate the differences between the two. For now, if you have not yet gotten an Xbox Series X you can check our list of stores to get one. The same happens with PS5, whose buying guide is available by clicking here.
