Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is now available in physical and digital stores for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. If you already bought or are thinking of buying this action / stealth game that will take place in the near future, then here are our tips for you to take the maximum benefit. As always, our advice is based on our experience with the game. If you think there is one or more tips / tips that should be on the list, don’t forget that you can leave your suggestions in the comments section.
Choose your first weapon well
Early in the game, before moving on to the first mission, our operations commander asks what kind of weapon we want. We can choose a sniper to stay away from the action or a pistol if you want to get closer. There is no right or wrong choice, it all depends on the way you want to play. At this point, it’s also a good idea to choose if you want to reach the end of the game without killing anyone (it’s one of the trophies / achievements). If this is your wish, opt for non-lethal ammunition.
Try to complete the missions in Stealth
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided gives us the freedom to play as we please. It is perfectly possible to complete a mission by going in to kill and shooting at everything that moves, but the joke is trying to complete the missions without being seen. Although the game allows for action, Deus Ex is mostly a stealth game. If you explore well, you will find several ways to reach the end of a mission without anyone noticing.
Even when we are trying to sneak up, it doesn’t always go well. If you made a mistake, you were spotted and would like to go back, you can do that. However, you may want to record frequently, especially before making any risky moves. This way if you go wrong, you can go back and try again.
Choose enhancements based on how you play
As we have already said, Deus Ex gives us a lot of freedom. This freedom encompasses the character’s improvements. From an early age, we can choose to unlock or improve the various skills of Adam Jensen, so it’s best to choose the skills that will help you the most and adapt to the way you play. One of the most useful skills is undoubtedly “Augmented Vision”, which lets us temporarily see through walls and other obstacles. It is very useful to know if there is an enemy nearby without leaving the hiding place.

Don’t forget the side missions
In addition to the main missions that result in an advance of history, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided has several side missions to offer. They are not mandatory, but in addition to offering you more experience (which is necessary to level up and unlock more skills), they introduce new characters and generally give you useful rewards such as credits, items and access codes to locations that would otherwise they would have to invade if they wanted to enter.
Wastes time exploring
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided locations are full of secrets and closed doors. If you are curious to know what these doors hide, our advice is to bet early on your hacking skills. There are two distinct abilities: one that bets on stealth, decreasing the probability of being detected, and the other that allows you to invade systems with high levels of security. The higher the security level, the higher the reward is usually. Don’t forget that you can also talk to all NPCs. Some will ask for help or trigger side missions.
There is a New Game Plus mode
If all goes well in your first playthrough, don’t forget that there is a New Game Plus mode, which after finishing the game allows you to start again without losing the skills you have unlocked. New Game Plus is the ideal way to make the most difficult trophies / achievements, since you will have an evolved and powerful character from the beginning.
