Ubisoft Connect Will Make Some Ubisoft Games Have Cross-Platform Progression Sharing.
Ubisoft has announced that Uplay and Ubisoft Club will merge and will be called Ubisoft Connect, a new ecosystem for gamers designed to provide more cross-platform and community features that will launch on October 29th alongside Watch Dogs: Legion.
One of the main novelties of Ubisoft Connect is that now some of the Ubisoft games have shared progression between all platforms where they were released, meaning that if you, for example, start playing Assassin’s Creed Valhalla on PC, you can continue the adventure on PS5, from where it left off on the computer. In addition to Valhalla, other titles that support this are Hyper Scape, Immortals Fenyx Rising, and Riders Republic. Over time, more games from the company will be able to make use of this new feature.
Another interesting aspect of Ubisoft Connect is the “Smart Intel” feature, which according to the company, “gives users tips and recommendations based on their own gaming activities”.

Ubisoft Connect can be used on PC (Windows), PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox Series X | S and Xbox One. Support for Stadia, GeForce Now, and Amazon Luna will arrive later this year. Players will also be able to access Ubisoft Connect via an Android and iOS app, the desktop app and the official website.

São Paulo, October 21, 2020 – Ubisoft has just announced that its current ecosystem of services and loyalty program, formed by Uplay and Ubisoft Club, will be enhanced and expanded as Ubisoft Connect. Through a new universal interface, players on all platforms will interact with Ubisoft’s in-game services, activities and player community starting October 29th, in conjunction with the launch of Watch Dogs Legion.
The Ubisoft Connect experience will be connected in an unprecedented and totally intuitive way with upcoming Ubisoft releases. The ecosystem was built on the company’s ten-year expertise operating online services on PC, with Uplay, and the Ubisoft Club loyalty program, which has offered more than 1.1 billion rewards to users. In addition to enhancing services for PC gamers, Ubisoft Connect will allow gamers to access social and gaming features regardless of their platform, including across consoles and cloud gaming services.

“A decade ago, Ubisoft was one of the first publishers to broaden the player experience with new services and social features. We wanted to build on that legacy because our vision is that there is a global community and all of our customers should benefit from it,” said Charles Huteau, Ubisoft Creative Director with Ubisoft Connect.
By bringing together millions of players, Ubisoft Connect becomes the ideal destination to connect with friends and participate in events and other activities. In addition to exciting new limited-time community challenges, the ecosystem features a cross-game loyalty dynamic that allows users to earn points to use towards exclusive rewards such as weapons, outfits and assorted items.

This more social and personalized gaming experience also comes with a newsfeed interface of friends’ achievements and the “Smart Intel” feature, which gives users tips and recommendations based on their own gaming activities. Each player will have access to their personal information and statistics to keep improving and compare their performance with friends through a revamped leaderboard.
Developed for a new era of games, where gamers will be able to play, progress and stay in touch with friends from anywhere in the world, Ubisoft Connect is the solution that will allow Ubisoft games and services to move between platforms and turn new features into industry standards from now on. As part of this commitment, full progression across platforms and services will now be available on some of Ubisoft’s most anticipated titles, such as Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Immortals Fenyx Rising and Riders Republic.
“Next-generation games go beyond technological and graphical improvements. For us, as game developers and publishers, it’s about delivering smoother, more versatile experiences that give gamers the freedom to play their favorite titles on the devices they want, with whomever they want,” said Stephanie Perotti, vice president of Ubisoft online services.

To celebrate the launch of Ubisoft Connect and its enhanced rewards program, over 1,000 Ubisoft Club rewards are unlocked today, free of charge, for all players. Regular updates will add even more features and items to users’ experiences.
Ubisoft Connect can be used with current and upcoming platforms such as: Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch. To offer the most seamless integration and adapt to new cloud gaming and streaming services, Stadia, Nvidia GeForce Now and Amazon Luna will also offer some Ubisoft Connect features later this year. In addition, players will also be able to access Ubisoft Connect via the Ubisoft Connect mobile app, the desktop app and the ubisoftconnect.com website.
