– In the latest video presentation about Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U, Masahiro Sakurai, the creator of the game, provided additional information about Cloud from FINAL FANTASY VII, who was previously announced as a new fighter. During the presentation, it was also announced that two more new playable characters will be added to the game: Corrin from the new Nintendo 3DS game Fire Emblem Fates and Bayonetta from the critically acclaimed Bayonetta games. Clouds level Midgar is based on a location that FINAL FANTASY VII fans will no doubt be familiar with. Bayonetta, on the other hand, will feel right at home in the Umbra Clock Tower level. New costumes for Mii fighters will also be added to the game, including a full outfit based on Geno from Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System.
