Over the past few months, we’ve introduced PlayStation VR2 and provided sneak peeks at the next generation of virtual reality gaming, allowing you to escape into new worlds while experiencing an innovative sense of immersion. Today I am pleased to announce that the official launch of PlayStation VR2 will be on February 22, 2023. The PlayStation VR2 Sense Controller Charging Station, designed specifically for the PS VR2 Sense Controller, will also launch on the same day.
Below we detail the PS VR2 range and the recommended retail prices of each product. Availability in each country is subject to local import legislation.

PlayStation VR2 Sense Controller Charging Station

During this initial phase of the launch of our next-generation headset, players in the US, UK, France, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg will be able to pre-order PlayStation VR2 only through the PlayStation Direct online store. playstation.com. Preorders will open on November 15, and players can sign up for preorders starting today. Orders placed on direct.playstation.com for PlayStation VR2 headsets and bundles will ship throughout launch week.
In other markets, PlayStation VR2 will be sold at participating retailers, with pre-orders opening on November 15. In those regions, information will be provided through participating local dealers.
PlayStation VR2 Sense technology includes prominent features that provide unique gaming experiences, such as headset feedback, eye tracking and 3D audio, as well as adaptive triggers and haptic feedback from PS VR2 Sense controllers. Together with compatible games, they will captivate the senses of the players and offer an incredible and deep sense of immersion.
In addition, thanks to headset tracking and high-fidelity graphics in 4000 x 2040 HDR video format (2000 x 2040 per eye), PS VR2 delivers a truly next-generation experience for gamers.
We’ve created the PS VR2 headset with comfort in mind, with a slimmer and lighter design compared to the previous headset. We’ve also included a vent to increase airflow and a lens adjustment slider for further customization. We hope that players will like this new design.

It is very exciting to see how game developers take advantage of the features of the PS VR2 headset to design next-generation virtual reality games.
