To most of us, the name Nicholas Fodor doesn’t tell us much. But he is an old acquaintance in the world of mobile email and his latest product, Freedom Mail, It could sound much more to us in a while.
This product is important, not only because it is capable of offering mobile mail synchronization functionality with almost any type of email account, but because it appears to be based on technologies that were developed in the early 1990s. That could mean a high in the tough patent battle that companies like NTP and RIM have with their mobile mail technologies.
Freedom Mail it works on any phone with Internet access and with almost any email account. Without having tried it, for now I opted for GMail and its application to access email from mobile. It won’t be push-mail, but I almost appreciate it.
